We provide a base level of disability protection, both short-term and long-term.
RESOURCES
Short Term Disability (STD)
We provide you STD coverage at no cost to you. If you become disabled from your job, we provide basic STD coverage equal to 75% of your basic weekly earnings up to 13 weeks; 60% for the next 13 weeks based on the duration of your UNUM approved disability (up to a maximum of 26 weeks).
Long Term Disability (LTD)
We provide you with LTD coverage at no cost to you. If you have been disabled and unable to work for 180 days, the benefit pays 60% of your salary up to $15,000 per month. UNUM will certify your disability and coverage will continue available during the duration of your disability up to social security normal retirement age.
Maternity Benefit
After one year of employment, the mother of the child is eligible for 12 weeks of paid time off equal to 100% of her basic weekly earnings immediately following the birth of a child or adoption of a child.
Paternity Benefit
After one year of employment, the spouse or domestic partner of a mother giving birth or an individual becoming a permanent custodian of a child is eligible for 4 weeks of paid time off equal to 100% of your basic weekly earnings immediately following the birth of a child or adoption of a child.
